Pandy's mammories

nice intro huh?
Well, her heat ended about 2.5 weeks ago. Her 'lumps' have not gone away, infact they may be bigger. I took her to the vet today because by now they should go down from what she had told me. Well, her vulva is also still swollen. So the vet says to allow more time. I asked if she is having a false preg since her big sis seems to be prone to them. (They aren't related really)
No she said she is just maturing ect lol Thanks, another vet bill. It was only like 25 so it ain't bad and worth the peice of mind.
But today the rescue freak was there....she insists NO ONE should EVER breed ANY dog. I told her I respect her views but 'please shut up'. Word for word that's what I told the holy than thou beeeep!!! I am not breeding PAndy she is too young. She said the whole no breeding ****. I told the vet if her workers can't either be tactful with their views, silent about their views or gone when I am there...I won't return. That would be sad because I do love the vet.
So there LOL

That's it...just mammory developement.

THEN we went for ice cream!!
Here are a couple pics

Great Pic Whim.

The funny thing about people like that are dont they realize that if no on ever bred, "to better the breed." what we would have left on our hands, dogs with sever hip dysplasia, eye problems, cleft lips and palates, over bites, under bites, the list goes on and on.........

I mean HELLO, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE MOCHACHINO!!!!!!

Ice cream huh, your making me hungry GF!!

Glad she is okay, boy somedays vets are like docs, everything is fine, please hand over the green, I think they should only be allowed to charge if something is wrong.LOL!!!!

LMAO I agree with only paying if something is wrong!
She was concerned that Pandy was pregnant but there is no way.
We were adement about Ozzy staying away ect...
That's why I asked if she was having a falsie. I was
shocked when she said no, it seemed the natural assumption.
You think she is preg, she didn't have the chance....false right?
Oh well I am glad she is ok. I also politely explained her vulva
was swollen to 2 1/2 inches-it's not going to go back to normal quickly.
She was lol imagining it that big!
My dogs are designer mutts. I just wanted the opportuniy to
provide loving families who suffer from allergies & asthma with our
lovies. Not making any money but doing something to help folks.

I wouldn't worry too much, Poppy was the same she also had a "lack of muscle tone" in the belly area (who am I to comment on that - LOL). Poppy's first heat start in February and it was only in May when things finally completely looked normal... Like you I needed piece of mind so asked when I went to the vets for all our holiday medication but she was fine.

As for no breeding - how would anybody ever get to own a dog if nobody bred??? Glad my vet's aren't like that, we actually had a very good discussion on breeding when I was there.

The pictures are great - Poppy loves ice cream too!

What a great WI day for ice cream, huh?!

I also wouldn't worry about her mams. You could be like Brittany and worry that she'll never have babies...Annie has almost NO teats (and hasn't had her 1st heat yet either), so Brittany's worried that she won't be able to have babes. What a worried mother Brittany is.

As for your own breeding rights...that's totally your decision to make and if someone doesn't like it, then I'd honestly tell them to stuff it! Yes everyone has their own opinion, but sometimes it's best to keep to yourself...as in the rescue freak case yesterday. On the other forum, there were some people that were talking about losing some/all their litters and the rescue lady came on and basically said "ha-ha, I'm glad you lost them...probably didn't do something right anyway...makes my job easier now that I won't have to deal with all those extra pups sometime down the road...maybe you all learned a lesson here!" A bit rude, you think?! If it weren't for us responsible breeders, you're right Melissa, there wouldn't be any dogs for families to own and love!
