Angry Choking Incidents

Have your dogs experience choking incidents with greenies or other products? What happens? My aunt's dog seems to be really sensative to the shape of dog chews, especially to the edible ones. When she swallows larger pieces, she seems to have difficult and throws up.

It isn't uncommon for me to be prying my dog's mouth open and scooping stuff out with my fingers.

Oscar chokes all the time actually. But hes very good about it. Like when he has a rawhide or pig ear he will eat it too fast then start to choke and bring it back up untill he can finally keep it down. I stopped panicing about it. He seems to have everything under control. LOL

Seriously, though, dogs should not have toys like that when they are unattended. rawhides, greenies, "Busy Bones", anything that could be chomped up and swallowed (in my house that includes anything with a squeaker, stuffing or that bounces), so, these toys should not be given without someone there to supervise.

When Lil was a baby my nephew gave her a huge piece of bubble gum that got lodged down her throat I had put my hand down her throat to get it out. It was very awful but thankfully she is very careful when eating things so she hasn't got anything stuck in her throat since then.
