I have golden retriever, but I am seeing spots on his tongue--alot of dark spots. Does this mean anything?

Likely birth marks. Lots of dogs have tongue birth marks.

Yup my dog has it too. One big black mark on his tounge.

We love our golden retriever puppy a lot, but his nipping and constant jumping up on us is frustrating. He is 12 weeks old this week. We are reading every training book possible. When do they outgrow this. This is our first puppy! Help...

Nola, they will only outgrow this if you teach them this behavior is unwanted. There are several great threads on how to go about this.

The best advice is to be consistent and keep working on it.

Hey!
I'm owner of two golden retrievers. Aaron is my boy, he has almost a year and Liza is my sweet girl, she has 4 years.
Nola, I think the most important thing when you get the puppy is to start training him/her. The pupp has to learn how to learn and you have to learn how to train your puppy. Four years ago I got my first golden retriever-Liza. I made lots and lots of mistakes and I'm just grateful Liza is so nice and patient. Aaron is the perceft opposite of Liza. Very lively and he loves to play, he allways find some troubles (just two days ago he cut badly himself in his tongue), but very loyal. As DaxAriel's Toy said, you have to keep on working with your pupp and start training now. It is never too late, but why would you have troubles if there is no need? First I though Aaron that he is not allowed to jump on me and not to give kisses all the dogs, cats, plants, people...becouse it could be dangerous. Second, I though him to come on a call. It is very useful! On a walk he is allways unleashed and I'm not worry, becouse I know he'll come if I call him.
Oh, and not train too long (5 minutes for the begining is enough) and make it fun! Good luck!

Hey, where are all golden-owners?
Yesterday, we had Aarons 10th show this year. And he did really a pleasant job! He won his first best junior in class and was best of breed at only 11 months In best in show was res. BIS breeding couple with his sister Aba. I'm so proud of him!
