Here is a link to a site explaining albanistic Doberman. Albino or white Dobermans are a threat to all Dobermans, and should never ever be bred. They are prone to terrible genetic defects, they are prone to cancer, they are photosensitive and the list goes on.

Breeding of white dobermans is unethical. It is an insult to a great breed of dog, it is a threat to the Doberman lines.

White are not albino because they actually have pigment, therefore is doesnt mean they have a disorder.

The WHITE Dobermans DO have genetice disorders, please read the info Dodified has provided.

Ayla, not to be disrespectful but you are misinformed and wrong if you believe they are NOT albino's, because they are, they have NO pigment. It is a proven scientific fact.

White Dobes are true albino's and are genetic freaks, so to speak. If you follow the history of the white doberman, it comes from one dog that they bred back to numerous times to produce more white Dobermans( very unscrupulous ). So not only are they albino's but they are terribly inbred. Mom to son, Mom to grandson/son, and the list goes on.

Do your research and you will see.

I guess this all ties in with the white boxer. Usually deaf or blind aswell?

Exile, frankly, I know nothing about the white boxers, but if they do have blue or pink eyes and have absolutely no pigmentation ( they would be either white or a very light cream colour with white skin everywhere ) then they are considered albino's. But in saying that I do believe that some have black skin around the eyes and may even have some very small patches of coloured hiar and skin, which makes them NOT an albino.


I started this thread because of the Boxer thread. I want people to make no mistake that white Dobermans are bad and should never ever be bred. If you are considering one please don't. You will be looking at thousands of dollars in vet bills, your dog will not be able to handle the sun, you will need to put sunglasses on the dog for the dogs eyes, and their temperaments are not the best, and that is due to the fact that they are rife with helath problems.

White Dobermans are a threat to the breed, they compromise the integrity of the gene pool.

I went to a site that SELLS white dobies. They had 2 to choose from, both of course are beautifully striking cuz they are dobies. Price was 1000 & 1500!
