RSPCA- Harry and Me!

We got Harry from the RSPCA, where he'd been cared for ever since he was born. He was born in the RSPCA in the North East of England and then, because all the other puppies looked to be genuine Dobermans, he was the only one left because he was a blonde dog! He was eventually adopted by a family but they complained he was too bouncy- what do you expect from an energetic young pup?!
So, he returned to the RSPCA, thankfully not one of those huge dog shelters with over 200 dogs in them because there if they're not sold they're put down! I went to the RSPCA shelter with my friend because she wanted to get a dog, but she didn't see any that she wanted. I fell in love with Harry at first sight- he was just so beautiful! He had a scar running over one eye and they didn't know if he was blind in that eye or not because it was closed and pustular, but I dragged my parents there and they loved him too, so we got him!

Now pretty much a year later, we're really really happy with him. He's not the most obedient of dogs, but he's got tons of character, and is absolutely adorable! I would reccomend visiting the RSPCA shelter or any shelter for dogs just to have a look, because you could go home with a puppy of your own! Even if you have a dog- think what it'd be like to truly be helping a dog that might be put down if you don't get him or her !

I love "love at first sight" stories!! Good for you for adopting a rescue dog. I hope to do that when I don't have to work full time. Hopefully will adopt a couple then.

That's a great story. I got my shepherd mix from the SPCA. She was so cute and tubby when we first held her...not she's big and tubby haha. She's turned out to be a GREAT dog.
