Flakey, Red Skin

While I was brushing Rudy this afternoon I noticed that when ever I took the shedding blade over him there would be white residue left on his hair. The white was dander/flakey skin. I didn't worry about it since I haven't brushed him in couple days, but then while I was brushing his belly(where the hair is thinner) with the soft brush a lot of dander was coming off. It was even leaving red spots.
Under his white stripe the skin was all red and blotchy, and when his hair was laying flat it appeared pinkish; now that really started f.reaking me out.
Rudy got a bath about 3-4 weeks ago, and hosed off after a long game of frisbee about 1-2 weeks ago.

His diet hasn't really changed, and I don't think he's gotten into anything (like weed killers, etc.)

Should I bathe him again with his aloe shampoo to see if it helps? (we use it on him all the time, it makes his coat so soft).

Any ideas what this might be from? I really can't think of anything that would cause this to happen.

I would rinse him with just plain water where it's red for now. There are so many things it could be. Wait 24-48 hours and see if there is an improvement. If not, I would go to your vet. We've had dogs (Poppy) with skin infections, fungal infections, etc.

I'll give him a nice warm bath (minus the shampoo) tomorrow when it's a little warmer outside. I'll make sure to keep an eye on his possible 'rash'.
