Canine nutrition

What does everybody feed their dogs? I have tried everything with my dogs. We went premium for a while (Nutro, Science Diet) then holistic (Merrick, Natural Balance) even homemade. I was just wondering because everyone here has so many opinions on what is best for dogs, and I am really interested in the subject.

Well, now I see why I never heard of Blue Buffalo...we only have a petco store here.
I wish we'd get a petmart or something...just for variety!!

Pet Supplies Plus is now carrying a whole holistic line. It's great. Mine has Merrick, Natural BAlance, NEwmans Own, Canidae, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul, and Solid Gold. They also carry Blue Buffalo, but not my store.

I've seen this topic hashed and rehashed numerous times. So, I'll bet if you search the threads, you'll get a lot of good info.

I don't believe Science Diet to be a very high quality food.

Here are some great links to help you decide on which food you should be feeding:

Canidae - All Life Stage
... http://www.canidae.com/ (look for store locator)
Natural Balance Duck and Potato
... http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/home/locator.tpl (store locator)
Another possible food is:
Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice Adult formula
... http://www.nutroproducts.com/dealerlocator.asp
Here is DogtorJ's dog food page:
http://dogtorj.tripod.com/id5.html
