Please let me know what blade number(s) you use in triming the dogs feet (pads). My instuctor insist I use a #40 but they get hot fast and burn the dogs pads. I heard a Wahl Peanut shaver works best. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I think the #40 blade is best. Just use clipper cool to keep your blade cool.

Oh, I would advise you get a real clipper to do it, that way you know nothing could go wrong.

i use a regular file from the salon or a purple thick file called mr.pumice, works great and actually my dog let's me do it so it must feel good...
