|
Does your dog have papers?
This is a straight forward question, please do not reply to this thread with remarks on purebred or non purebred dogs. If you have a mixed breed, purebred with no papers, purebred with papers, etc. just curious as to what we all have. It doesn't matter what your dog is- this is just a curiosity poll.

I have 2 shih-tzu's. My older pups breeder would not give me the papers untill I had him nutered (very responsable breeder) and although I had him nutered I never bothered with the papers, I just wanted (and got) a GREAT pet.
I have the papers for my second Tzu...but i never bothered to send them in. Again, all I wanted was a little pup to love and care for, again exactly what I got!!!

Lilly is 'Registered - do not show' she is however show quality and I was seriously considering showing her, she comes from a long line of champions so has great lineage.
The most important thing for me is that she is a loving companion though!

My chihuahua that passed away in 2003 had papers, but I never sent them in either. She was such an awesome friend, I miss her alot.

All my dogs are registered because I am very active in obedience, agility, and TDI. They, of course, are my babies first, and my team mate's second.

I have one pure german coolie, and one rescue rotti x shep. So i voted mixed breed. Btw the coolie doesnt have papers. But they are both loving dogs.

Sweeney has UKC papers. Not the United Kennel Club, but the Universal Kennel Club, which i hear is not very reputable, but do not have first hand knowledge. I have never sent in the registration papers, as i do not plan on showing him, and i'm not too sure the certificate is worth the 25.00 they want for it. if anyone has any info on them it would be greatly appreciated.

I did not vote because I have more than one answer. Greta has papers but I don't show her, Jack has papers and I show him in obedience and hopefully soon in Rally. Tanner does not have papers but is purebred.
