Question What Type Of Dog Food Is Better??

hey veryone I was just wondering about dog food what does everyone think is the best gog food to help a puppy gain weight and is raw foods o.k. i have heard of people giving their dogs everything from raw eggs to cottage cheese also i read in one of the forums that vegtable oil is safe for dogs. How much do you give them and do you just put it on thier regular dog food or is it givin by itself just wondering. TRYING to get a sick 7 month old back to health. He came from very poor conditions.

If you feed raw, feed raw. No kibble. I found a few links that could help you (I don't feed raw myself)

Either that, or a good quality food should help. Fish oil is great, too.

www.mountaindogfood.com < for that one follow the links.

These websites will help you. There is a very good book out there called " Give Your Dog a Bone " . Read that.

I have been feeding RAW for a few years now and our dogs are very healthy and happy. It takes a lot of time and dedication and you really do need to do your research on RAW feeding to do it properly. Those webistes above will help you.

Do not be discourgaed by people who eotehr don't understand RAW feeding or who are agiainst it. You will run into them. RAW feeding is an excellent wasy to feed your dogs and it is a more natural holistic way of improving your dogs health.

If you have any questions on what I feed and how I feed just ask but read those websites first.

Hi,

Some decent dry kibble are: Wysong, Ca. Natural, Innova n chicken Soup.
Purina products are truly bad and they are the utmost worse company to dump junk into their foods, all of them!!!

Raw u can use a couple times a week, get a good kibble for the other days. It is expensive to feed RAW, but the best also you need to cube up fresh veggies and a good supplement to be safe. Make sure u get some organs, fish n bones, chicken n bones, necks, feet, etc. Then go to your good dry kibble and I feel the dog will do great.

If u hav any questions, please ask. Good luck with your pet.
Pat

Riddick, if you are considering feeding raw, definitely read the links that Dobified has given. Don't just decide to feed raw one day and throw her a chunk of meat. Yes, I agree that a raw diet can be a good diet, but in my opinion, it needs a full amount of research to be done properly.
