found out the problem

i told you all about the puppy i took care of well we talked to a vet cause we couldnt afford to take it to a vet and you all know my puppy died very sad but anyway the vet said that the puppy had parvo, and that the mother of the puppy is a carrier of parvo but isnt sick because she is amuned to it. have yall ever heard of a dog being a carrier of parvo? the vet also said that even if we had brought the puppy in due to the fact that it was only 3 weeks old that they wouldve had to put it down because they cant treat a puppy that young for anything. is that true?

How are all the other puppies? Yes, if the mom has parvo before and was exposed to it again, she likely won't show symptoms the second time. I don't know about not being able to be treated... They probably never have to since pups that young are still usually getting antibodies from their moms. Well, at least you found the cause, and hopefully you can protect the rest of the pups...

CLEAN EVERYTHING.

A dog that young should still have been protected by the mother's immunity .. here is a lot of info on Parvo.

Sorry for your loss.

Parvo is nasty stuff. It can live in the soil and grass for years.

Like Moo said clean everything. Bleach it. Then as soon as you get another dog/puppy get vaccinations immediately. I hate Parvo and have seen a few dogs die of it.

Very sad.
