Shelties are SHMARTER than your dog.

The Shetland Sheepdog. Originating from the United Kingdom and, more specifically, lush green meadows on the Shetland Islands. The newer generation of the larger cousin Collie. Shelties are said to be loyal to their master, eager to please, and a good watchdog. (Especially over those Sheep)

Their coats are something beautiful, coming in a widespread of colors. Black and whites, merles, and even the beloved sable.

There is a story derived from Denver where a 11 lb Sheltie (psst.. he grew!) was SOOO smart he worked at an animal hospital. Communicating with the human kind and being the go-between to help other animals in need.

Here are some photos from the article.

The fabulous sheltie at the pharmacy. Prescribing the right meds and doses to the voiceless animals.

Here he is a hard day's work on the radiology scanner and computers, analyzing radiographs and giving the best diagnosis.

Sheltie's.... impressive breed.

Geez, Ollie. Just because you can sit on a chair, you're smart now. Well, if you were real smart, you would be sitting somewhere in a way that you could reach the keyboard.

Mara.. you got it!

Ollie doesn't need to use a keyboard. He just uses his bark commands. Or uses the vet techs as his slaves to click buttons for him.

And Dobermom.. some people prefer mini-sized things. Why would they have made mini m and m's or the "Mini Cooper" or Mini Me?

Plus less poop, less food to buy or feed, and less bed space taken up.

I bet he get's a littler salary too, but it's a toss up. He can't even reach the bottles on the shelves. At least if he were Kirby he could jump up there.
