Have you heard of this food company?

Just wondering if anyone has heard of the dog/cat food company "Riplees Ranch"?

If so what are your thoughts on it.

{link removed by Dax. Name is Ripleees Ranch}

Angry LooK?

I have never heard of this place nor food, but reading it also contains fillers.

Original Formula Dog food - INGREDIENTS: CHICKEN MEAL, GROUND CORN, CHICKEN FAT (Preserved With Mixed Tocopherols, Citric Acid And Rosemary Extract), Brewers Rice, Corn Gluten Meal, Ground Wheat, Ground Dried Beet Pulp, Flax Meal, Dicalcium Phosphate, Chicken Liver Digest, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Lysine, Garlic, Dried Whole Egg, Yucca Shidigera, Ascorbic Acid (Source Of Vitamin C), Vitamin A Acetate, Cholecalciferol (Source Of Vitamin D), dl Alphatocopherol Acetate (Source Of Vitamin E), Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Proteinate, Zinc Oxide, Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Copper Sulfate, Copper Proteinate, Manganous Oxide, Manganese Proteinate, Riboflavin, Calcium Iodate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Folic Acid, Biotin, Sodium Selenite, Cobalt Carbonate, Menadione Sodium Bisulphate Complex (Vitamin K), Vitamin B12.
Chelated minerals.

This is NOT good food, it should NOT contain corn, wheat, meals, look above at all those fillers. That means it could be old grease or oil left in 50 gallon drumbs at resturants, pets put down, renders pick up from vets on drugs, etc are ground, sick cows with cancers are put down and ground up. This dog food I would NOT buy.

The first two ingredients in dog food should be strictly Meat.........Period!! Not chicken meal, etc.

Some of the better are: Wysong, Flint River Ranch I use, Cal Natural, Innova, Strive, Bil Jac frozen low in fat% Solid Gold, and some others.

Some of the worse are: Eukanuba, Iams, Science Diet, Nurto,
Purina is the worse company to contract for junk, road kills, feathers, etc. Do not buy Purina Products...........Period.!!

Chicken meal is better than chicken because it has had the water removed so you get more chicken for the weight/%

Chicken meal is what we humans would eat (if I ate meat that is lol). it's not the left overs.

All I feed Sammy is Purina. He's the healthiest dog I have ever seen. It's ingredients are safe and healthy. I always make sure that the main food I give my dog is not corn, or a by-product. But Purina is wonderful. I believe its first ingredient is lamb.

This is Purina O.N.E. Total Nutrition's top 10 ingredients:

Quote:
1.Lamb

2.Brewer's Rice

3.Oatmeal/Rolled Oats

4.Corn Gluten Meal

5.Poultry By-Product Meal

6.Ground Corn

7.Animal Fat

8.Calcium Carbonate

9.Dicalcium Phosphate

10.Animal Digest

The first ingedient is lamb, but there's a lot of other stuff in there. That I wouldn't want my dog eating.

...I've also heard bad things about Bil Jac though. 2nd ingredient is by products, 4th ingredient is by-product meal.

Now Kirby is on a special diet so to speak. He eats a hypo-allergenic potato & fish formula... It's first ingredient is potato, second and third are herring meal and chicken... But he also eats 50% Innova... where the top 3 ingredients are meat and it pumps 2-thousand calories into him per cup. Umm... It's my balance. lol

There's plenty of brands of Purina One foods. Those ingredients are not the ones in the specific bag I feed him. But, I understand your concerns with your dog. This is just what I feed Sammy, and I couldn't ask for a healthier dog. Eh, a small seasonal allergy, that's it. I'd rather not get caught up in any deep discussion regarding who feeds the better brand.
