Pomernian, bloody stools this am

yesterday, our 9yo pom was her happy little self. voracious appetite,
high energy. This is the dog who had a kidney removed, but still has stones
in the one remaining kidney. This morning, she won't eat, has drank a lot of water, and has blood in her stool. Not sure what could have changed over night. Oh, her previous blood and uring tests came back normal. no crystals and normal kidney function. this was about 3 weeks ago. any ideas?

I say go to the Vet's and soon. Unless you can see a fissure in her bum and can treat it with first aid.

Sorry, I don't have any ideas about what could have caused this but please keep us informed about how she is doing.

I took her over to Banfield. she has 106 temperature. she had some bloody diarrhea in the office. the vet is running xrays and test on her. Based on what she saw, she does not think it is kidney related. she thinks something pancreitis??? I need your prayers.

Scott, I'm really sorry to hear about your little one, but she is in good hands they will do the best they can for her. I found a bit of info on pancreatitis on this website http://www.vetinfo.com/dpancrea.html for you if you did want to read up about it.

My thought and prayers are with you and your baby.

I am very sad after reading that. this poor little girl has been so tough to deal with her kidney issue. I hope God is not going to take her away from us today, but I have a VERY bad feeling about all of this. We recently had our baby son, and are not in the position to deal with this.

I didn't mean to upset you but sometimes knowing about conditions can help you see what they can do for her. Once they get her over this attack, if it is pancreatitis, they will be able to give you help and advice to prevent this happening again.

It must be hard on you right now, the joy of you newborn son together with the fear and sadness that you might lose your little girl. But you have to be strong for yourself and for everyone, and pray to God that he does not take her just yet. I will be praying for you and her as well. What is her name?

I am sorry to hear that about your pomeranian. I hope the best for you and you never know things might just work out alright for you and not be as bad as you think.
