8 mos old -- adaptability to new owner?

I've always looked down upon people for giving their dogs away (no matter what the excuse), but I had a series of events this past Spring which led me to find a home for my Weimareiner... I prayed SO hard for the p-e-r-f-e-c-t home for him, and my prayers were answered -- it's really an amazing story, and I KNOW that God is looking out for my little guy. I don't have any doubts, but from time to time I feel like I need some confirmation with this: I was his mom from 6 weeks old to 8 months, and it's been almost 2 months now that he's had a new dad (a retired man who loves him & gets to spend every waking hour with him)... Please tell me he didn't/doesn't miss me!

He will remember you but if his new home is meeting his needs "miss you" might not be the right term. I'm glad it worked out for him & you - so few times it does.

Yes that's a great thing to hear. At least he has someone with him paying him LOTS of attention! And at least you know he's happy and in a good home.
