Dogs that pee-pee in the water?

I have an SPCA-mix (the vets, etc. say they detect Pit Bull in her) who pee's & poo-poo's in the lake... I live on a cove, and I've caught her squatting, etc. to do her business quite a few times when she's knee-deep or chest-deep in the water...

Is this odd, or is this a characteristic of certain breeds?

Ariel pees in water - never pooped. All dogs are unique and some are just plain nuts LOL. So where are the pictures?

lol Dax..the only person who wants to see a dog going to the bathroom..didnt know that was popular or I could of gotten pictures

I see lots of dogs poo in the lake at the dog park. It's funny watching the owners try to scoop it out.

At one time or another both my dogs have gone into their wading pool and peed in it. I thought maybe they were marking their teritory or they wanted flavored water...

id say its like when humans are in cold water and it makes us want to pee... poo dunno bout that.

but i did see a vet show on tele of a jrt that pooed everytime in water and was because her **** muscle didnt close enough allowing water to seep in so dog was getting filled up and needed to get it out. but i think thats a little diff here.

If Bernice is near the water then she will pee and poop in the water no matter what. I can't keep her out of the water! She just loves it!
