25 lb. Standard Poodle?

I've seen Standard Poodles in person and none of them have ever looked like they only way 25 lbs. even without the hair. My rental company has a tenant that says her Standard Poodle only weighs 25 lbs. (she has not neglected it). Don't they usually weigh around 50 lbs at least? I couldn't see them weighing less than my Border Collie.

Standard poodles are lighter than they look; but mind you, they are huge. LOL
Standards should generally be 45-70 lbs.

25 lbs is about mini-poodle weight.

That's what I thought. There's just no way a Standard could only weigh 25 lbs. I used to know a healthy (not fat) Chiuahuah that weighed 18 lbs lol.

yes they deffinately could. in some places in the world the breed standard for a standard poodle is 15 inches and upwards at the withers, though a much taller dog is desired they are still considered a standard and you could even show one at that height. I am a 17 inch dog and he ways 22 pounds so it is deffinately possible

Standard weights are usually somewhat accurate.. but not always. It's usually by the height.

FOr instance.. my Sheltie.. shouldn't be 11 lbs, but he is.

Ok well I saw the poodle yesterday. She was more like 50 lbs. I dont know what the lady was talkin about. She's the calmest dog I've ever seen, too.
