Unhappy Worried

My grandma's poodle, Roxie, had heart surgery when she was a pup. She has never been a really big eater and somedays she will only eat grass until late in the evening when we finally get her to eat something else. Is there something wrong with her or is this normal? I have heard eating grass is normal but she won't eat anything else sometimes and you can look at her and tell she feels terrible. Please help we love her to death!!!

I would definitly take her to the vet. A diet consisting of ONLY grass isnt very beneficial to the dogs health.

Try giving her a tsp of canned pumkin without spices. It helps digestion and loose bowels not that it has them. Also, a tsp on honey is a Super great cleanser and tonic for pets. Once a week on that. Good for the heart I might add also.

Do not feed her alot of table scrapes, she should eat her food first, then treat. She is most likely just not a big eater, some survive on very little. Once a week it is normal to not feed anything to your pets, it is on my web site. We also are to do that to let our stystem clean out and rest. lol...........like I really need a rest. I love to eat. God Bless and Good luck with her.
