Puppies coming soon

Shtiya my 4 year old female New Guinea Singing Dog is late in her pregnancy and is having according to sonograms 4 puppies. The sire is my 7 year old male NGSD Desna and the both checked out health wise to be bred.
Shtiya is Red and White and Desna is a less common Black and tan with no white but a pen point of white on his chest. And so along with having healthy puppies they will also im sure be beautiful. It should be any day now and the whole house is excited .

Wow. A life span of 15-20 years. That's great.

I read an article about them once. They seem so amazing. Although i read that they are not usually "pets" but more like wild dogs. Is that true?

I've read about them too! They seem to be very interesting dogs. I can't wait to see pictures of yours...

I show rare breeds, and I love the look of the NGSD, (I'd never own one, too much of an independant streak for me!)

Is it true that female Singing dogs only come into heat once a year? I read that somewhere once...

When i first looked at the photo, my first thought was it looked like a dingo. Then I read down and it was described like a dingo.

Depends on who raises the dog or dogs in my case all my dogs are great housepets and share my husband and mines bed or my daughters at night. It just all depends on how you raise and how you breed them. I have to admit it is a bit humbling to see my dogs laying by the fire place and then be online and see them in zoos.
