Is she in heat? o_o

Well my puppy is almost five months now. And she has been licking her 'area', for quite awhile I see no blood, but she started humping with dog toy. I took it away, but later she got it again and was humping it. Like grunting and stuff while doing so. Once again, I see no blood or anything. But I think there was like. A clear liquid on my fingers. I don't know what it was or where in was from, but it was on the dog toy. And it wasn't spit, it had an odor. Uck. I don't know if she's just humping it because, or what. What do you guys think? She just started humping things today, never have I seen her do it before. We plan to have her fixed on the 29th, so yeah. And if I try to look, she'll whip around. She growled at me once. But from what I have seen, it looks normal.

They must swell first quite large, then drip then breed. She has just found a way to amuze herself and it is not so nice, but u can correct her. This does not mean she is in heat or coming in heat, just a fun thing for her right now. Look and see if the vulva is swollen.? If not, then do not worry but keep an eye and do not let her growl at you, correct her. Positive of course. Good your getting her spayed, this makes a nicer healthier pet for you. Good Luck.

You did not mention what breed of dog she is, 5 months is a little early... unless she is a small breed, they come in earlier. Oh, you can get her spayed now, just so you know, even if she is in heat.
