    Dog Behaviour

    G'day, newbie here.

    I have 2 rotties, a male 8 yo and female 2 yo.
The girl had pups born Nov 1.
the last 3 -4 days, the boy wont leave her alone. Always need to be in her space
he's off his food, she's not. He's behaving like she is on heat. Slobbers all over her
and tries to dominate and mount her.
he is being a real PIA,
Can anyone tell me what's going on and how long this behaviour is likely to last?

I cant answer your question but I would put the male in a safe secure location. The female needs to be able to nurse and care for her pups. You can allow them to be together at a later date, when the pups are raised .
