Basset Hound ADOPTion URGENTPLEASE CONSIDER!

Name: Popsicle aka Popsie
Breed: Basset hound
age: 1 yr+
Female

Bio: I have had popsi about 2 months now. I got her froma friend who was taking to the shelter I work. Because she was so nervous they were told that if they surrendered her she would be put down. Me be the loving person that I am told my friend that I would take her and work with her and try to get her out of her shyness and nervousness. Since I have had popsie she has changed into a different dog. At the current moment she in the backyard of my old house with my pitbull. She is very friendly once she gets to know you. When I first met Her she would not come near me 10 min later she was jumping on my couch and sitting in my lap. Popsie is not fond of young children because she needs alot of attention. The main reason I am trying to find her a new home is one I have moved in with my fiances father and we are having to build a run for my pit. I don't feel it is far to either dog to crowd them in a run. I don't want to chain her because I feel it would make her crazy. Plus I took her to resocialize which has been going well. The only thing I ask is that whoever adopts her or is interested in her. She MUST be spayed before she goes home with her new parents. She is not intentended for breeding purposes.. ALL that I ask is that she pe spayed.
SOOOO please if anyone is interested POST a note or pm. ITS URGENT If i don't find her a home soon. I will be bringing her to my shelter and they will put her down. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to control.

She looks adorable, I hope you find her a home soon. You should let people know where you are as I can't see that info in your post.

Rescue Groups?

You should try a breed rescue group in your area- you won't collect your $100 fee, but at least you know she won't be put down. I didn't see what part of the US you are in, but here is a link to our local basset rescue:

Good Luck,
Cristy

Yes a breed rescue group would probably your best bet. They're everywhere!

AAAWWW do not take to a shelter or especially a kill shelter. She is too sweet and can be placed in a good home. I feel a good rescue is the best to look to for a home for her. Or, hurry and make some posters and place inside grocery stores, store windows that will do this and somebody will see one of your photos of her and take her. Be sure and write that she must be spayed and cared for properly. Place a photo like u did here on the posters and get them around with a phone number, cell number and I bet within the day you will hear from somebody. Be sure and question them to make certain they are the best family for her.

Post an ad on Petfinder.com. Or here's a Basset hound rescue in TN, I think it is in Western TN but they will pick up dogs anywhere in TN. http://wtbr.home.att.net/ Tell them that you rescued a Basset from being put down but you can't keep her.

Can anyone offer help with transport? With her to NM? Going to try to get flying paws if they are not too busy with the huricane but thought I better ask.
