First Home Check

So tonight is my first home check, I am taking Poppy along with me to see how her current dog reacts to another dog in her home. I have so much paperwork and things to check and say to them and questions to ask, I feel that I'm bound to forget something.

Wish me luck.

good luck and have fun! i always love giving Faith the opportunity to play with the dog in the house i'm going to check, and it sounds like your doggie will have a great time.

It went really well, I remembered everything I needed to and Poppy had a fantastic time playing with their current dog. They didn't even bat an eyelid when she went investigating upstairs and jumped up on to their beds - lol.

I hope we can find a suitable dog for them soon.

if not, let me know - the labs group i work with has about 150 dogs to choose from.... of course, we'll have to figure out the whole getting them across the Atlantic thing...

glad it went well, hopefully they'll have a new doggie soon.

150 dogs - that is a huge amount of dogs. Mmm, perhaps we could hire our own boat for them to get them here...

I have another home check tomorrow - but the people work full time and the charity don't like to place dogs with people who work full time, but they have told me to still do the home check and see what I think.

we'll have to try to find some rich folks who want to save labbies and get them to pay for the boat!
