ok i was at my aunts house and she bought 2 bones for her two boxers she asked me if it was ok to give that type of bone to them...i actullay thought it was real but then she said she bought it from petsmart..it looked very real and smelled real but im pretty positive they dont sell real bones at petsmart...i didnt awnser her question because i have no idea.. she knows not to give rawhide..but i dont know..i only give my dogs nylon, denta bones and the occasional real butcher bone...what do you guys think??..i think she said the brand was callled "Butcher Bones"

Ick...we sell them at our pet store. From what I have seen, Butcher Bones are no good. I've had customers complain that they splinter, break apart, and stain. I think that they are real, but they are not good. I don't recommend them.

The ones in pet stores are real but have been cooked so they will splinter

I bought one of those bones too, Magic loves to eat stuff out of the center. I got her a really big one so she can't get her molars on the corners to splinter it. I fill it with dog food and freeze it just like a kong. So far it hasn't splintered but it is now a concern of mine, so she won't be having that anymore just her kongs.
