A HAPPY Story!

It was a very busy weekend at the Doberman rescue I work with. I just got off the phone with them, and they said they had several adoptions this weekend.

The WONDERFUL part is George is going home!!! George is about 12 years old, with cancer, and 4th stage cardiomyopathy(sp). George is a very sweet red male. He is very weak, but he has lots of love to give.
A woman recently lost her 12 year old Doberman to an illness(I forgot what it was.) She drove for 4 hours to the rescue to just donate some special things she had for her Doberman. Orthopedic beds, dog diapers, bones, stuffed toys, and blankets. The reason she picked our rescue is because she saw George on petfinder, and thought these things could help him.
Well, after spending several hours with George, she decided to ADOPT him!! They fell in love with each other.

With all the horrible stories I have heard and disgusting cases I have seen, its wonderful to see there are still people out there with BIG hearts!
Its unknown how long George will be with us, but he will spend his last days in a wonderful home filled with love!

That is so wonderful. It brought tears to my eyes. He will have someon to love him for how ever many months (Years?) he has left. She's a saint.

She not only paid the 200.00 adoption fee, but she left the rescue an exta 100.00.

I guess everyone that was out there today was crying. They truly never expected George to get adopted.

Dobe, you made me cry! That restores my faith in humanity, somewhat. What an amazing person. George is a lucky pup, but so is that woman. She will find a lot of love in George that others may not have seen.
