Thumbs down Itching on the brain...?!

Does anyone have any suggestions...

My male pug dog, Mr. Pugsley, is so loveable and affectionate , but he is constantly itching.

He had mange when he was younger and we treated it as per the doctors advice, dipping him in a special mix. This killed it off, but I don't know whether now he just has itching on the brain when he gets a little tickle or it really is an issue. A small itch turns into a nasty rash because of his constant upset

It's a real shame because I know he would rather be running around ripping shreds out of his toys, than itching all the while.

Help.... I'd like to put the smile back on his face permanently!

Take him back to the vet for another examination. They have shots (coritsone I believe) that can help or the vet can recommend something.

If it was allergic - an anti histimine might be helpful. First step is to properly identify why he's itchy.

Good advise Dax, and he may get you to dip him in that mixture if he has mange again. Harry gets rashes under by his hips from his own doing, cause he used to have dry skin there and that got itchy, and now every summer he gets a permanent itch and he is always trying to scratch. It's annoying, but we've found away to solve it is really simple, just tell him "No!" Whenever he does that. It helps in a way

Welcome!!
Have you tried giving him baking soda baths to help relieve the itchiness? You may need something stronger but it might help until you can get him to a vet. I hope he is feeling better soon!

Yep when you click on post message you can scroll down to Attach Files,
Click on Manage Attachments
To attach the file use the 'Browse' button to find the one/s you want to post, then click 'Upload' and it sould be done.

OR if you want to post it as a bigger picture (not an attachment) you need to have a URL for pictures you want to post (you can get them by making an online photo album at photobucket or a similar site) and then you can copy and paste the URL into the insert image icon which will be at the top with te rest of the icons when you click on 'post reply'

Hope that helps lol.
