I HAVE AN AMERICAN BULLDOG THAT KEEPS BREAKING OUT IN THESE ROUND WELTS.THEY START OUT WITH JUST A FEW BUT WITHIN AN HOUR HE WILL BE COVERED IN THEM FROM HEAD TO TOE.I TAKE HIM TO THE VET AND THEY GIVE HIM A BENADRYL SHOT AND THEY GO AWAY.THE VET SAYS IT IS SOMETHING BITEING HIM BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE FLEAS AND HE IS WITH ME OR MY WIFE AT TIMES. HE IS NOT LEFT UNATTENDED.I AM LOST!

Does he get the welts when he's outside? After eating a particular food?
Sounds like he's allergic to something. |

NO HE JUST GETS THEM EVERY SO OFTEN ITS NOT LIKE THERE IS ANY PATTERN.HE EATS THE SAME THING EVERY DAY

This could even be Lyme Disease caused by tick bites. If you are adding any creams or ointments make sure you don't apply them anywhere that your dog can reach to **** . If she does begin that it won't do the welts any good and could upset her stomach. Unfortunately, Lyme is not the only disease caused by ticks, so you could be dealing with the two other diseases, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or Ehrlichia. Typical signs of Lyme disease include loss of energy, appetite, and sometimes lameness or swollen joints.
