Question About Dog

HI,

My sister's wiener dog is not peeing and hasn't for a couple days! What could be the problem any ideas?

Get the dog to a vet! Could be kidney problems or a blatter infection (although that usually creates the opposite effect). Kidney failure is common in older dogs, how old is the dog?

Age isn't always the factor. Some dogs deal with this problem at a younger age.

I would call the vet first and ask for advice. This costs nothing a vet visit does. Usually a good vet will give you suggestions on what to do and how to hand the situtation.

Are you sure the dog has not pee'd? Is the dog bloated ? He would be if he has not pee'd. Is the dog eating and drinking ?

Personally I think the dog has to be peeing but they say she isn't. I went over today to look at her and she looks fine! Playful, energetic. She doesn't look any different then normal. I took her outside and she didn't pee but she did poop so I dont know. I'll be there tomorrow too so I'll check and see if she'll do anything for me tomorrow. I'm thinking maybe because she sits so low to the ground they can't tell if she's peeing!

Well what goes in must come out. So if she isn't drinking water, she won't be peeing. But if she isn't drinking water, she must also be severely dehydrated by now.

Maybe urinary block? In cats that's a medical emergency and can be fatal.. it's just as dangerous in dogs (but less common). I'd call the vets immediately.
