Digestive problems

My dog has always been skinny. I've posted about him before. The vet said that there are alot in the breed that are skinny like him but this has to be abnormal. He's a Siberian Husky, he'll be two the 17th. You can feel his spine. Though his ribs are not visible. I heard of feeding him raw fat, but he has trouble digesting things. When he was a puppy he always had diarrhea. I now feed him Purina One Sensitive Systems dog food. I'm lucky if he eats a mouthful. Siku always turns up his nose at everything.

Try Solid Gold Holistique Blendz, California Natural, or Natural Balance Duck and Potato.
The problem with Purina One is that it is filled with fillers. There is corn, wheat, by-products. Ick! The foods I mentioned are great because they have no wheat or barley, which cause food allergies and digestive problems. Also, canned food is excellent for dogs, contrary to common belief. if you buy the right canned food and mix it in with the food your dog is eating, your dog will eat it! When looking for a canned (or any food for that matter) food, make sure there is no:
wheat
barley
by-products
gluten
corn
sugar
soy
dairy

Read the labels. With dog food, in some cases, as yours, you pay for a brand name. In other cases, such as Natural Balance, etc. you pay for ingredients.

If the problem persists, see your vet again. He may have something wrong with him that is making him not eat.

I'll try that, thanks. I don't know very much about this stuff. There is no list of ingrediants on the bag (that I could see/find) but it did say that it did not contain any added fillers or artificial flavors.

try looking on the side. By law, the ingredients must be listed. It might be on the top right or left corner where it is creased and hard to read.

Also remember, when you do find a food he likes and can handle, Sibes naturally don't eat a lot. My girl is 50 lbs but you wouldn't believe it by her eating habits. She eats very little and is very picky also.

If he has trouble with his stomach you might try a little plain yogurt mixed in what ever kibble you feed him. It helps the gut and will sooth any distress he's feeling.
