Bernice ate my vitamin!!!!

This morning as I was taking a b complex vitamin it fell to the floor and rolled out of reach. Before I could get it Bernice snatched it up and ate it!!! This was at about 5:15 am and she has shown no difference in her behavior or attitude. Will this hurt her? Is this some type of poison to dogs? Help please, I feel so guilty right now. I am usually very careful about my medication (not careful enough it seems!) so this is a first for me. please help

No it wil not hurt her, it may actually be benifical to her.

I give Vit C, Brewer's yeast ( Vitamin B ) and Cod Liver oil ( vit A & D ). Along with Flax oil ( Vit E and omega's ).

Don't worry. If Bernice had ate a whole bottle then I would be concerned, but one will not hurt.

Well, some dogs take human vitamins rather than dog vitamins, so my guess is that she is okay. But, because it can still be dangerous, I would call the animal poison control. 1-800-548-2432 Tell them what kind of vitamin and the dosage.

thanks guys, I called the vet and he said no prob. she is healthy and large enough that the dose shouldn't hurt her. (I'm still gonna watch her like a hawk!)

I asked my vet about the Vit C and he said you shouldnt give it to the dogs UNLESS you are giving Glucosamine then it should be ESTER C not reg Vit C. the Ester C helps the body utilize the Glucosamine.

Depends how big the dosage is. Vit C is a soluable Vitamin and the body gets rid of what it doesn't use. Also dog produce Vit C on their own, when you give Vit C to a dog it sitmulates the prouction of Vit C in the dog.

Vit C is very good for your dog, I wouldn't give it everyday but once or twice a week.
