Question about deworming

How often do you need to deworm a puppy? Tank was dewormed a week ago, so do I need to do it again? If I do then I'll have the vet do it in a couple of weeks when he goes back to the vets for another set of puppy shots.

bring a stool sample to your vet visit and they will tell you if your pup needs to be done again.

Poppy had worm paste for 3 days in a row at 9 weeks of age (she'd been done by the breeder prior to that) and then she was put on to Stronghold flea treatment monthly which also kills roundworms. Then at 6 months we started the other treatment which kills tapeworms - we now give this medication every 3 months. Apparently they don't need tapeworm treatment until they are 6 months old.

I worm my puppies at 14 days old for round worms only, but prior to breeding my bitch she is wormed good. I worm every 2 weeks up to going to vet with the pups for first shot and wormed, most often they are worm free as I take in a couple stool sample.
I worm my dogs once a month on the 22nd with zimectrin. We hot lime our property early spring, it gets any eggs from anything. I never have a worm problem, nor a flea problem, never ever had a flea on a puppy new born. My dogs get springtime Bug Off Garlic.
After pups leave 8 to 10 weeks, I suggest vetting them within 72 hours it is in the puppy kit of health certificate. If anything is found to hinder its lifetime a replacement will be made.
