As long as she is feeding them ok them its great for her to have a break, with regard to the poo did she eat a lot of placentas?

Yep I agree with barnjess, it is absolutely fine for her to have breaks! And as long as the babies are contented and well-fed it won't affect them at all.
Loose stools are normal especially if she ingested some of the after-births. Just make sure she's keeping hydrated and if you're at all worried check with your vet, it doesn't normally last much longer than a week or so..

I am sure she is cleaning up after the pups so it is possible that she might have some loose stools. Make sure she is staying hydrated and if it continues then I would recommend at phone call/trip to the vet.

And yes time away from the pups is completely acceptable.

Think about what your momma dog has been eating, plenty of puppy poo and other waste! Even if it was by c section, she's still being a good mama, so excpect loose stool for a week. The time you have stated is not very long at all, and it's fine, just wait a few weeks, when she gets bored with them, she will be back to her old self!
