Doesn't like food

My 6 month old Cavalier doesn't like her food. She's on Eukanuba Small Breed puppy food. She tries her very hardest to get to the cat food that I keep up on the ping pong table and seems to love that when a piece fall ( I know she shouldn't have cat food). Should I try a different food or just stick with the Eukanuba? I train her with tiny pieces of Natural Balance Lamb Formula and she just loves it, but that's not a puppy food, so I hesitate to give it to her full time.

I give my 10-week old pup Nutro Natural and she absolutely loves it. I even give it to her for treats and I also put it in her activity ball.

have you tried to moisten the food. Heat it up with some water it makes it smell better for the dog

I would try adding a little bit of warm milk. That works for me all of the time.

Do you mean cows milk? Do you use it every day?

You can also add chicken broth to give it flavour or cottage cheese (which is excellent for your dog). This is the only way I can get my dog to eat her kibble at times.

Puppies should not drink cows milk... It is very hard on sensitive stomachs.

I'm not a fan of Eukanuba myself, but since it is what you have, you can mix warm water, yoghourt, or some shredded carrots into it. There are lots of healthy additives that can go in... Be sure to use only a little as to not upset her stomach.

Do NOT ever give a dog our milk we drink it is very hard on digestion and just not good for the dog like it is for us. However, canned milk diluted, goats milk, etc. is ok,

Give some cottage cheese top the food to intise eating or yugurt plain, good for good bacteria to come back up after an illness or meds. Also a tbsp of honey is great once a week for dogs as a cleanser or good heart tonic. Apple cider vinegar is good for dogs and for hot spots.

Many household rememdies work without vet expense. Put some garlic powder top the food if it does not eat well, some dogs deviour garlic not too much though.

Chopper has lots of days when he won't eat cause he is picky and I mix his food with plain fat free yogurt, cottage cheese, a little apple juice or a little shredded cheese and it usually works. But maybe she just doesn't like the food.
