Well howdy doo sheltiemom I have a three year old rescue little girl. She is my third sheltie and I have been training them for sixteen years. They have been my breed of choice for a long time now. I won't have any other kind of dog.

Glad to meet you...

Hi,

I have two sheltie boy. The are the sweetest dogs. They are both oversized, (about 38 pounds) but that's ok, cuz I like them just the way they are. Shelties are so smart. I love the breed.

I'm a sheltie owner here. I've had different breeds of dogs before and this is my first time owning a sheltie. Each breed of dogs have their special unique qualities but I have to say that Shelties are the best dog I could have ever owned. I will probably get a 2nd sheltie in a few years probably an adult one since puppies can be alot of work ( boy can they be! LOL). But i'm glad that I have casey just so that i can raise him to be the way i want him to be, he's so affectionate, and playful and there are days where he'll come over and sit in your lap while you watch some tv yup you guess it, he's a lap dog ( i think he learned that from the cats! LOL )

My sheltie is also smaller than most shelties. We only got her when she was almost 2 years old. The breeder wanted to keep her for shows and breeding but was she was too small and didn't have the proper bone structure for a show dog and her pelvis would be too small to have puppies safely. She weighs 16lbs. And is soo adorable! My whole family loves her to bits and she definately has become the princess in our family
