Shiba Inu
We are looking at a 2 year old Shiba Inu that use to be a show dog. Now he is fixed and the owner has came down with some serious health issues and wants to find him a better home.
I have read up on these dogs but wanted to know if anyone here had some insite on them as well. Thanks so much! Traci Ps. we do have kids but he is suppose to be great with them!

I had one. He was loving, soft and cuddly. He was very protective and barked a lot. The downsides were he was VERY willful and dominant. I didn't know very much about dogs back then so he ran all over me. I would know better now. They just need a firm, consistent hand and lots of obedience training. With that I think you could have a wonderful dog.

We went and looked at the Shiba Friday night. He is soooooooooo sweet and loving that we just had to take him.
He is a VERY well trained dog. He is just awesome with our kids and fits in so well. And he loves to go out for car rides and show off and get lots of attention!! He truly is a great fit for us and I am so glad we added him to our family! Here is a picture  And his name is Max.... Traci
